My company has this exact culture. Expects you to leave at the end of your shift, etc. Yet every "Employee of the Month" is somebody who stayed late or came in early or some other sort of above-and-beyond thing that we're verbally advised against doing.
When leaders say one thing, like "take time off, take care of your health," but don't do it themselves, and, worse, as epitomized in this spot-on comic, celebrate and hold up as examples those who do the exact opposite of what they "preach."

"Employee of the Month" is not worth pursuing, obviously.

Bob needs money to pay the hospital bills
Bob’s got no Choice😂
Again, poor Bob.
Plot twist : )
This is the definition of culture.
