Have you tried deleting all emails and wait for the important ones to follow up on why you are not replying instead?

Yeah. Weep for the lost and lonely … folders. 😢

I’d like to see self-destructing emails. If you didn’t read an email, it should blow itself up after a few weeks.

Reminds me of a contractor that was trying to charge my charge number when I never tasked him or sent it to him. Went to talk to him about why... he spent like 15 minutes trying to find the email where he'd gotten it and couldn't. TLDL though: his old effort didn't want him charging anymore and he was desperate for anything to charge. Told him I didn't have work for him either and not to charge it.

However, I learned a few things from watching him scramble for 15 minutes. Like it's evidently possible to have an inbox structured with more folders than emails. By a multiplicative factor. My best estimate is that he had 2-3 times as many folders as he did emails to go in them. Nested I don't know how deep... 10+ layers?

I stopped worrying about my massive unsorted pile of emails being inefficient after that!
